A LIGHT EXISTS in SPRING (Emily Dickinson) (written in 1896)
A Light exists in Spring Not present on the Year
At any other period
When March is scarcely here
A colour stands abroad on solitary fields
That Science cannot overtake but Human Nature feels
It waits upon the Lawn, It shows the furthest tree
Upon the furthest Slope you know
It almost speaks to you.
Than as Horizons step or Noons report away
Without the Formula of sound It passes and we stay
A quality of loss
Affecting our Content
As Trade had suddenly encroached Upon a Sacrament.....

"She decided to free herself, dance into the wind, create a new language. And the birds fluttered around her, writing "yes" in the sky...." - Monique Duval
Seasons are changing. The birds have started gathering again . A Flicker and his mate with rose coloured cap...
Stellar Jays eating peanuts like they're going out of style
The beautiful female Flicker. I have never seen her before.
And the male. Stuffing himself with suet without sharing any with her!
"In order to see birds it is necessary to become part of the silence..." -Robert Lynd
The orange flushed Varied Thrush. Looks like a chubby robin.
The eagle on the power poles.
"When the Sun of compassion arises darkness evaporates and the singing birds come from nowhere...." -Amit Ray
And the Thrush.............
Warbles...
Purple Finch.
And the Flicker shoves in as much suet as possible
While the female waits her turn.
Eventually she kicked him out.
"Somewhere a bird sang. Its chant hanging plaintive and melancholy in the air..." -Jane Johnson
And off they flew. Into the dusk.
While the Jays splashed in the bath....
Ate some seeds and wondered where all the peanuts had gone. Were more coming?
"Birds are the eyes of heaven....." -
