SEW................ for the past three months I have been making blocks. Blocks for a few civil war quilts. I LOVE the civil war theme. I love how the fabric weaves into stories. Sew this is my progress so far. About 350 blocks. Next I have to sew them together in some form of order, and then dye the panels in strong tea. Then it will have that vintage look. The fabrics are not exactly true reproductions. I decided to use my stash and not buy any new fabrics. Once they're dyed in tea it will have a uniform look. A lot of the patterns I got from various books, like "The Civil War Diary Quilt" by Rosemary Youngs. Plus I used patterns I've collected over the years, from different quilt books, internet, classes, etc. The quilt blocks each have their own name.....their own personality.......their own history I suppose.
