Of course, if you are a magnificent gold cat, called Patience, then it is no secret.
He watches and he waits when the Stellar Jays zoom in.
Like clockwork. Two together.
Under a smoky sun.
Under mist and fog.
By the early morning sun.
Scolding. Squabbling. Dancing.
Then perch on the bird bath. And listen ......and listen.
"Not the beauty the eyes can see, the beauty the soul can feel..." -Waseem bhat
Two together. Each and every day.
Always content to just be. Or scream at nothing.
Though I fancy one of them is always saying:
"Yes, Dear" or "No, dear" or "Whatever you wish, dear"
Hopping around like blue marionettes, they ask for more peanuts.Looking longingly at the seed pan, full of sunflower seeds, but empty of peanuts.
Sitting beside one another. Two together.Watching for cats, I believe. Or hoping I will come out with more peanuts.
Grabbing and swooping. Peanuts fall. They dive in.
Dancing on the bird bath. Waiting for the daily ritual to begin. Again and again.
They never tire. Those two. Steadfast. Beautiful. And before it's even dawn, each morning, I find them waiting , in the shadows of the tree. Waiting two together.........
