You're probably getting tired of my garden posts. So many things growing.
But it being officially summer. At last.
I just can't help it. It's that lazy time when you just want to sprawl across a hot tub cover
( like Spencer) and listen to the sprinkler.
Or be like Cordelia, and peer over the fence.
And decide which lovely lush thing to snooze under.
To admire the repurposing of household things.
Be amazed at how many butterflies are flitting around these days.
Sometimes peering over the the fence is not quite as effective as peering between the slats.
To stop and smell the roses. Something that is hard for most of us.
Watch the cat trail become even more dented with the pad of soft paws.
And even on cloudy days................
There's time for tea. And smell those roses.
As long as you don't have allergies....
Or to watch those butterflies.
( New cat. Comes from the hill. Pudgy, friendly Siamese.)
And maybe relax under the grape vines. In the shade.
Wondering just how big the sweet peas will grow.
Did you give them enough fish fertilizer?
Do they have enough water?
Even though it is very dry out, you water when restrictions allow.
Knowing that for now, at least, things will grow and be green.
And the butterflies will still come.
And land for the perfect photo op....
The ferns, at least, under the trees are lush and wild.
And in the early morning and early evening there is time.....
To smell those roses. No matter how the day has been, or will be, tomorrow.
To be able to find sanctuary in a crazy, busy world,
And watch the sunset. And know you have had a moment to renew.
