OUT of NOWHERE...

SPRING is like...by e.e.cummings 1894-1962

Spring is like a perhaps hand

(which comes carefully out of Nowhere)

arranging a window, into which people look
(while people stare arranging and changing placing
carefully there a strange thing

and a known thing here) and
changing everything carefully
Spring is like a perhaps
Hand in a window
(carefully to and fro moving
New and Old things,

                     while
                people stare
                     carefully
               moving a perhaps
          fraction of flower here placing
an inch of air there) and
         without breaking anything...

MY DEAR FRIEND...

For my dear friend, Judy J.
Col 3:12-14 "Holy, and dearly loved, with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience."

GITANJALI 1916 (an offering of songs) #67 by Rabindranath Tagore (1861-1941)
You are the sky and you are the nest as well.
O you beautiful, there in the nest is your love that encloses the soul with colours, and sounds and colours.
There comes the morning with the golden basket....
...in her right hand, bearing the wreath of beauty,
silently to crown the earth.
And there comes the evening over the lonely meadows deserted by herds,
through trackless paths,
carrying cool draughts of peace in her golden pitcher, from the western ocean of rest.
But there, where spreads the infinite sky
for the soul to take her flight in,
reigns the stainless white radiance.
There is no day nor night, nor form nor colour and never , never a word.
This offering song by Tagore meaning:  God is infinite. The nest is where the soul develops. The soul can take unrestrained flight. Pure. Markless.
"The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, not the kindly smile, nor the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one, when you discover that someone else believes in you and is willing to trust you with a friendship..." -Ralph Waldo Emerson

AT DAWN...

AT DAWN by Henri Frederic Amiel (1821-1881) ("Amiel" is Hebrew, meaning "God is with my people", or "People of God") He was a Swiss philosopher, poet and writer...
If every day is a repetition of life, every dawn signs as it were a new contract with existence.
At dawn everything is fresh, light, simple, as it is for children. At dawn spiritual truth, like the atmosphere, is more transparent...
Like the young leaves, drink in the light more eagerly, breathe in mor ether, and less of things earthly.

If night and the starry sky speak...
...to the meditative soul of God, or eternity and the infinite,

the dawn is the time for projects, for resolutions,
                                           ...for the birth of action...
While the silence and the 'sad serenity of the azure vault' incline the soul to self-recollection,
the vigour and gaiety of nature spread into the heart
...and make it eager for life and living.
                                            Spring is upon us!
Primroses and violets have already hailed her coming.
Rash blooms are showing on the peach trees
The swollen buds of the pear trees and lilacs...
point to the blossoming that is to be.
                 The honeysuckles are already green.
