Mountains. Cats. Our heaven of sky....

"Solitude gives birth to the original in us, to beauty unfamiliar and perilous.
                                                     ( T. Mann 1875-1955)
"Hope is the only good that is common to all..." (Thales 624-545 B.C.)
The mountain after its first rain in many a moon.
After a fire up north has pushed the smoke down to us.
Smokey in his favourite place in the morning, when he visits from the hill.
                                Grapes that have gone crazy.
Sweet peas on their last legs. Cordelia from the hill.
Two brothers who know how to play.
"The hours when the mind is absorbed by beauty are the only hours we live."
                                                         (R.Jefferies 1848-1887)
Time to hide. In the heat of the day.
Looking for that snake we lost......
                                            Smokey in the cat trail.
"Our way is not soft grass, it's a mountain path with lots of rocks.
But it goes upwards, forward, toward the sun. "
                                                                                   ( R. Westminster, 1928)
                                            Quietness and contemplation.
                                                   Contemplating a charge.....

"A cat thinks in cat terms....." ( the Dodds)
                                              Waiting for the sun .
And here it is. For a sleepy Smokey.
"Cats like to lie and listen....." ( P. Brown 1928)
"If a cat has decided to love you, there's not a great deal you can do about it."                                                                                  (K. Smythe)  (Bo our Ragdoll)
Not done with that tag game just yet.....
"When nothing is sure, everything is possible." (M. Drabble, 1939)
And numerous waterbowls to choose from.
Spencer even has his own chair, since he visits so much.
Complete with a green towel to cover the cushion.
                                                             He snores away quite happily.
"I know not how it is with you, I love the first and last, the whole field of the present view, the whole flow of the past. Nor should you change, nor I, one pebble in our path.....one star. In all our heaven of sky. " ( Robert Louis Stevenson, 1850-1894)
