FIRST ROSE

" I feel as if I had opened a book and found roses of yesterday, sweet and fragrant, between its leaves..."
-L.M. Montgomery ( Anne of the Island)
 The garden has exploded.
 The bees are back.
And the roses .............first roses in the rain.
"The gentle rose offers a powerful joy known only to the heart.."
                                        -Andrew Pacholyk

 Bees on the Cranesbill.
The sky goes pink and blue and gold in the morning.
And Spencer has found a new friend in Rona. They roll where it is warm and dry.
"I walk in the rain . I rise with the sun and set with it. I bloom with the rose and fall with it..." - Jenim Dibie
The garden is getting out of hand.
Columbine flourishes near the roses. I think it is inspired.
It rains. And rains. And rains.
"The night was so very still that one should have been able to hear the whisper of roses in blossom...."
-L.M. Montgomery (Anne of the Island)

 Sweet peas cannot be contained.
And the roses come out of hiding, shedding their green coats.
As the Pasque Flower fades into the earth.......
